Alisha Akins, MA, LAC, NCC

Alisha is a Licensed Associate Counselor, she works with children, adolescents, and adults, supporting clients through challenges like anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), chronic illness, and addiction. Her person-first, strengths-based approach is grounded in a neurobehavioral perspective and integrates CBT, Adlerian theory, and family systems therapy. Alisha incorporates expressive, art-based techniques to help clients explore emotions, build self-awareness, and develop coping skills. She creates a warm, collaborative space, meeting clients where they are and working alongside them to identify strengths, set goals, and foster resilience. Active in the pediatric chronic illness and adoption communities, Alisha offers advocacy and support drawn from both professional and lived experience, empowering clients to make meaningful change.
